Science Olympiad Preparation
STEM competition preparation covering Science Olympiad events at middle and high school levels.
Who This Is For
Middle and high school students competing or planning to compete in Science Olympiad. Best for students who already like science and want to go deeper than school class, or whose school team needs additional content depth on specific events. Particularly useful for students building a STEM-focused application narrative.
Course Content
Each session focuses on the events the student is competing in, typically a mix of study events (Anatomy, Disease Detectives, Astronomy, Forensics, etc.) and lab or build events depending on the student's track and the year's rules. Instructors teach the underlying science deeply rather than just teaching to the rules sheet, so students can adapt to question variations on competition day.
How ToIvy Teaches This
Science Olympiad events reward depth, not just memorization. We teach the underlying biology, chemistry, physics, or astronomy until the student can answer a question they haven't seen before. Past packets are practiced until the student can name the question type before they finish reading it.
Class Format & Structure
Small-group or 1-on-1 depending on event mix. Sessions intensify in the months leading up to regional and state competitions. Past test packets used heavily.

Questions Parents Ask Us
Does my child need to already be on a school team?
No, many of our students prep here and then try out, or compete through a community team. We can advise on options.
Which events should my child focus on?
Depends on interest and what their team needs. We'll help match strengths to events after the first session.
